Nähwerk Saxonia is a fictional textile manufacturer in Chemnitz that cuts, sews, prints and embroiders T-shirts, hoodies and workwear for brands, companies and clubs – from just 50 pieces per design, with delivery in three to five weeks and GOTS-certified organic fabrics. The demo shows how a factory can win small and medium customers online by answering the first question every buyer has: “What will my order cost?”
The problem this website solves
Manufacturers usually hide prices behind “request a quote”. New clothing brands, event organisers and HR managers do not know minimum quantities, lead times or whether a factory will even take a small order, so they give up or choose a faceless overseas supplier. This design builds confidence from the first screen – “Your clothing line, sewn in Germany” – and shows realistic prices, minimums and timelines before anyone has to write an email.
Key features in detail
1. Garment price calculator
The visitor picks a garment – T-shirt (€5.90 base), polo (€9.80), hoodie (€14.50) or work jacket (€24) – sets a quantity from 50 to 5,000 pieces and chooses a finish: no logo, one-colour screen print, four-colour screen print or embroidery up to 8,000 stitches. Ticking organic cotton (GOTS) or an own woven label adjusts the price. The tool applies volume discounts from 200 pieces (5%) up to 22% at 2,000 pieces, adds one-off screen or digitising costs and shows the price per piece, the total, the discount and the production time. With the defaults – 300 T-shirts with one-colour print – the demo shows about €7.47 per piece, roughly €2,240 in total, produced in 3–4 weeks. A note makes clear that this is an indicative price until the design is seen, which keeps the tool honest.
2. Products explained from fabric to label
Six product groups cover T-shirts and polos (from €5.90), hoodies and sweats (from €14.50), workwear to EN ISO 20471 (from €24), embroidery with up to 12 colours (from €2.40 per piece), screen and digital printing (from €1.80) and a full private-label service with woven labels, hang tags and packaging. Everything is cut and sewn in Chemnitz, with European fabrics.
3. Sample orders, collection calls and factory visits
A sample garment in the customer’s size arrives within seven days – the most powerful trust-builder for a textile buyer. The booking form also offers a 45-minute collection call by video, a factory visit in Chemnitz and a workwear consultation for companies. Visitors say whether they are a brand, a company or a club, choose a planned quantity range and describe garments, colours, logo and deadline. The confirmation promises sizes and colours by email within one working day. Social audit reports are available on request.
4. Proof of fair production
The team section introduces the founder, the head of sewing and an account manager, and mentions that 38 people work in the factory, many for over 20 years. The FAQ states minimum order (50 pieces per design, sizes and colours mixed), use of own fabric from 300 pieces, in-house pattern making and fair treatment of staff: collective-agreement wages, fixed contracts and an annual social audit. Reviews (4.9 / 5 from 117) mention a streetwear label that sold out 150 hoodies in a week and workwear for 400 staff delivered in four weeks.
