Polymerwerk Nord is a fictional plastics manufacturer in Hannover with its own toolroom and 46 injection moulding machines from 50 to 800 tonnes, producing technical parts, closures and PET bottles – up to one million parts a month, with recycled and bio-based materials as part of daily work. The demo shows how an industrial supplier can explain a complex offer in plain language and let engineers and buyers estimate their project before they ever contact sales.

The problem this website solves

Plastics projects start with uncertainty: can my part be moulded, what will the mould cost, who owns it and how many cavities make sense? Most manufacturer websites list machines and certificates and then say “contact us”. Purchasing managers want a ballpark and engineers want proof of competence. This design gives both: a cost calculator that makes economics visible and a clear, confident message – “From idea to 1 million parts a month.”

Key features in detail

1. Mould cost and part price calculator

The visitor enters part weight (2–500 g), parts per year (10,000–2,000,000), the number of cavities (1, 2, 4 or 8) and the material – PP, ABS, PA6 GF30, PC or recycled rPP. The tool estimates the price per part, the one-off mould cost, material cost, machine time and cycle time, the year-one total including mould, whether the mould pays off compared with a single cavity and the mould lead time. With the defaults – a 35 g PP part, 200,000 pieces a year and a two-cavity mould – the demo shows about €0.27 per part plus a mould of around €12,000, roughly €66,600 in the first year, with a mould lead time of eight weeks. A note states that this is a rough estimate for a medium-complexity part and that precise quotes come from the 3D file. That honesty is exactly what engineers respect.

2. Services from mould to cleanroom

Six service blocks show the breadth: injection moulding in PP, PA, PC, ABS and more (from 10,000 parts), PET preforms and bottles from 50 ml to 5 l (from 100,000 parts), in-house mould making from €8,500 with the mould owned by the customer, recycled materials with full traceability up to 100%, two-component moulding and inserts, and an ISO class 8 cleanroom for medical and food-contact parts.

3. Project call, design review and factory tour

Visitors book a 30-minute project call, a 60-minute design review with the toolroom, a factory tour in Hannover or a material consultation on recycled and bio-based plastics. They indicate project stage – idea, 3D design ready, existing mould to transfer or running series – and describe the part. The page promises a first feasibility check by an engineer before the call, a Moldflow analysis in every mould quote, samples from the new mould before series start and full freedom to move the mould at any time.

4. Trust through ownership and sustainability

The FAQ answers the biggest concerns: the customer always owns the mould and it is stored and maintained for free, new moulds take 6–12 weeks, existing moulds can be taken over after a check and trial, and recycled plastic is available with certificates. Reviews (4.8 / 5 from 41 business reviews) mention cutting delivery time from ten weeks to two after moving moulds from Asia and 30% recycled PP with no quality change. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 appear in the footer.

  • Office hours with live status while noting that production runs 24/7, plus Stadtbahn and motorway directions.
  • Confidential-data consent in forms, mobile-first layout and GDPR compliance.

Who it is for

Injection moulders, plastics and packaging manufacturers, mould makers, bottle producers and industrial suppliers who want qualified engineering enquiries.

What you get when you order

We replace the demo with your machines, materials, certifications and references and adjust the calculator with your own cost logic. Our terms keep your risk low:

  • 50 / 50 payment – 50% to start, 50% only after you approve the finished site.
  • Risk-free first draft – if the first draft is not right, your deposit is refunded.
  • You own everything – design, code, content and admin access.
  • Reply within 24 hours from your direct project lead.

The cost calculator and project flow are scoped individually; you receive a written proposal with deliverables, milestones and price before work begins.

Frequently asked questions

Can the calculator be less detailed? Yes, it can be simplified to a few inputs or replaced by an upload-first quote request.

Can the site be multilingual? Yes, multilingual websites are scoped separately.
