Holzmanufaktur Brandt is a fictional contract furniture maker in Freiburg that builds tables, beds, counters, wall panels and wardrobes in solid oak and walnut for hotels, offices, restaurants and shops – in series from 10 to 1,000 pieces, with planning, production and installation from a single workshop. The demo shows how a manufacturer that sells to architects and project buyers can make a complex service understandable and bookable online.
The problem this website solves
Contract furniture projects are big decisions: dozens of rooms, tight opening dates and architects who compare several suppliers. Buyers need to see quickly whether a workshop can deliver quality, quantity and installation on time, and roughly what it will cost. A catalogue of chairs does not answer that. This design starts from the project – “Furniture for whole buildings, made in the Black Forest” – and provides a package builder, proof of capacity and a low-effort next step.
Key features in detail
1. Hotel room package builder
The builder creates a price per typical double room. A base of €140 covers planning, samples and 3D drawings per room share. The buyer then ticks components in four groups: Sleeping (double bed with upholstered headboard €1,290, two bedside tables €480), Storage (built-in wardrobe €1,450, minibar cabinet €390), Work & lounge (desk with chair €860, lounge chair with side table €720) and Walls (acoustic oak panel €540). The price per room updates instantly, with a note that prices are indicative for 20 or more identical rooms in oiled oak, walnut adds about 25%, installation is included and VAT is added. With the pre-selected bed, bedside tables and wardrobe the demo shows €3,360 per room – about €67,200 for 20 rooms. An architect can use this in minutes to test a budget.
2. What the workshop makes
Six categories – tables from €640, hotel beds from €890, counters on request, acoustic wall panels from €180 per m² (fire class B-s1,d0), built-in wardrobes from €1,450 and turnkey installation across Germany, Austria and Switzerland – tell buyers that one supplier can handle a full interior. Wood from PEFC-certified forests within 150 km and solvent-free oils and lacquers support sustainability goals many hotels now require.
3. Project call, showroom visit and sample box
Visitors book a 30-minute video project call, a showroom visit in Freiburg, a free sample box of woods and finishes sent by post, or a site visit at their building. They state the project type (hotel, office, restaurant or shop), company or architect, project size and details. The page promises a sample box within one week and a first layout prepared for the call. Other trust points: a prototype room before series production and a fixed installation date in the contract.
4. Proof for cautious buyers
Reviews (4.9 / 5 from 38 project reviews) tell project stories: 86 rooms furnished in 11 weeks, acoustics solved with wood, tables still looking new after ten years. The FAQ explains the smallest project (10 identical pieces), cooperation with architects, fire ratings and installation abroad. Hero facts – 120 hotel projects and 8–12 weeks from planning to installation – make the capacity concrete.
